The University of Arizona has acquired many mysteries in its 125 years of existence. Students, faculty and members of the Tucson community can all share ghost stories about strange happenings on campus but what do they all mean? U of A traditions and history professor Dr. James Knight says the rich history and legends surrounding the campus enhance campus life. Local paranormal investigators cannot determine the exact reasoning for haunted buildings on campus since ghosts and large amounts of paranormal activity can be attributed to various sources. One thing is for certain; the haunted stories surrounding the university will remain for the next 125 years.

Arizona Cat’s Eye, a 30-minute news magazine and online publication, features the best video news stories produced by students at the University of Arizona School of Journalism.
Produced once per semester, the reporters take viewers to a myriad of places in Southern Arizona, from the U.S.-Mexico border for a look at the impact of the border fence on wildlife, to downtown Tucson for a lesson on the city’s colonial past, to the UA campus and an ensuing battle to become the next starting quarterback.
